Working on a Friday Night?

Montgomery Village Foundation Made it Easy

By Rebecca Salzman August 20, 2026

I looked at the calendar and cringed when I saw the event I was contemplating was on a Friday night. So, I grabbed my family and dragged them to Bingo in Montgomery Village hosted by the Montgomery Village Foundation (MVF). Who can say no to Bingo? And Family Bingo to say the least! Yes, I research and scratch the website for events in our area and share them on our website... but this was the first event I attended. And I am glad I did.

The event was well organized. I worried because I did not register in advance.. so I emailed the registered contact Wayne Henry. He was very welcoming via email and allowed for us to come in. There were a range of folks who attended- families both small and large in numbers, young folks and older folks. I will say there was a good size crowd. The them of the bingo night was "Glow in the Dark". Glow sticks were in abundance and the kids and adults were all happy making bracelets and putting them around their wrists and in their hair.

Light snacks were available for purchase along with dabbers for blotting those "winning spaces". The MVF were calling letters and numbers along with several MoCo Police. It was a fun family-friendly event and a good way to start the weekend. If this was an example of how the MVF hosts events- I would not hesitate to attend another. But really, who can "no" to Bingo?
