School is an important part of your child's year. The school year allows for children to learn, socialize and grow. School allows for children to be on a regular routine. For some children, it is a place where they enjoy going and for others its a struggle. This is a time of change for you, your family and your child. A great way to end the year- or close it out is to say "Thanks".

Your child interacts with many people during the day:

  • The Crossing Guard
  • The Bus Driver
  • The Before or After Care Teachers
  • The Custodian
  • The Lunch Personnel
  • The "Specials" Teachers- Music, P.E., Art, Etc..
  • The Recess Staff
  • The Admin Staff
  • The Parent Volunteers at Events
  • So many interactions....

Ideas for how your child can say "Thank you"

  • Asking about what the school staff will do during their summer
  • Telling them why they had a good year with the staff member
  • Simply saying "Thank you for a great year"
  • Drawing -Designing  A Card
  • Bringing picked flowers
  • Writing a poem or song
  • Baking cookies or something sweet
  • Signing a yearbook
  • Giving a hug
  • Telling the staff member "I am going to miss you"
  • Giving a gift card or small token of appreciation.

All of these ideas are just a start!
